Neil deGrasse Tyson and Me are Sick of Climate Skeptics

Climate change is making storms more frequent and powerful. That’s a fact that many people in the United States still deny as reality due to their political beliefs. Reality, however, is what exists whether you believe it or not, and climate change science is reality.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is fed up with climate skeptics and the media that highlights them as though they have something of value to say, and so am I. Climate change is causing warmer ocean waters, and higher sea levels, which is adding to the extreme power and damage of recent hurricanes. As I write this, the US and Caribbean have already suffered through Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Jose is about to hit New England. Hurricane Maria and 2 other giant storms are on their way after that. Puerto Rico is in a direct line to be hit by Hurricane Maria which today strengthened to a Cat 4 storm.

From CNN:

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson says lawmakers and the media cherry pick scientific papers to reinforce political ideals on climate change and says it’s irresponsible to create public policy while ignoring the scientific community’s consensus.
